Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is going to be seen in the upcoming film 'Kaalidhar Laapata'. He visited Bhopal on Wednesday to promote his film with other cast. The actor was accompanied by the film's director Madhumita and young talent Daivik Baghel, who plays a pivotal role in the movie. Set to premiere on the streaming platform Zee5 on July 4, the film marks Bachchan's latest digital venture.
In a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Abhishek Bachchan openly discussed the film, remake trends, OTT versus cinema and his beautiful moments of his real life. Also, he talked about his family's connections with Bhopal.
The team of 'Kaalidhar Laapata' organised a unique and symbolic event on this occasion. Actor Abhishek Bachchan floated diyas in Bada Talab with school children. This program was organised by the lakeside. The diyas were arranged in such a way that the film's name 'Kaalidhar Laapata' emerged on the water surface.

'I hesitate to recreate father's roles' When Abhishek Bachchan was asked if he would like to recreate any of Amitabh Bachchan's characters? Smiling at this question, he said that he had thought about it many times, but he is a huge fan of his father. He feels that no one can act like him. So why should he spoil his work by trying to recreate it. He don't dare to do so.
'Not right to call Daivik a child artist' Praising Bhopal resident Daivik who is playing the role of child artist in the film, Abhishek said 'I feel bad when someone calls Daivik a child artist. He is a very senior and sensible artist. We have worked hard, but the real star of the film is Daivik. My casting happened after his.'
'Remake films are a process of exchange' On being asked about film remakes, Abhishek said that we cannot say that there is any particular era of remakes going on. This has always happened worldwide. When a film touches the heart or inspires, the filmmaker wants to retell that story from their perspective. Many of my father Amitabh Bachchan's films have been remade in the South. This is a process of exchange, and very positive too.

My approach remains the same for OTT or theatre On the difference between cinema and OTT, Abhishek clearly stated that it doesn't matter to me where the film is being released. Whether it's theater or OTT, I do films for the story. I just make films, whether they come on the big screen or OTT or TV, for me it's just a story, I want to state that my approach always remains the same.
'Bhopal - City of My Memories' Expressing his feelings about Bhopal, Abhishek said "Bhopal is not just a city for me, but my second home. My grandmother lives here, and from childhood until now, whenever I have come to Bhopal, I have felt a different kind of belonging."
This time, under the pretext of film shooting, I was able to spend some time with my family too. A large portion of the film was shot at Bhojpur Temple, and then my mother told me that they used to come here in their childhood.
'Bhopal's atmosphere is different from other places': Madhumita The film's director Madhumita said that the atmosphere of Bhopal and its surroundings is very special. We have shot the film in locations like Bhojpur, Salamatpur and Orchha. All these places give a different colour to the film. Shooting here has been a completely different experience for us, the atmosphere here is quite different.
